Short answer

Graveyard Keeper 2 adds a zombie army and town-defense layer. Official material confirms weapons, armor, towers, and fortifications, but has not yet published unit stats, enemy schedules, or a complete combat progression.

Do this first

  1. Expect defense to compete with production for resources and zombie assignments.
  2. Separate confirmed equipment categories from unverified weapon-tier lists.
  3. Wait for launch testing before committing to a best army composition.

The confirmed defense loop

The announced loop includes raising zombies, equipping them, and constructing towers or fortifications around the town. This makes defense a management problem as well as a combat feature: labor, gear, and building materials all have alternative uses.

What the screenshots suggest

Official images show multiple equipped zombies, barriers, fires, and attackers inside a town district. That supports active defense encounters, but a screenshot cannot establish controls, wave timing, defeat penalties, or whether battles can be automated.

Launch-day test list

Our first tests will compare gear effects, tower coverage, repair cost, worker availability during attacks, and whether enemy scaling is tied to time or district progress. Until then, any exact meta build is speculation.
